The Chœur Alba is a Bordeaux vocal ensemble created in 2012 by Bastian Saez, composer and choirmaster. It offers an innovative, rich and varied repertoire, taking its source from the meeting point of so-called "scholarly" classical music and world, "traditional and folk" music, often coming from oral transmission. It is for all, to constitute a true vocal and human team, welded and interdependent, in the requirement and the pleasure of singing. The work in rehearsal addresses training in warming up and vocal technique, and focuses on the homogeneity of the voices, the vocal color of the choir, its musicality and the quality of its interpretations.

Tribute To Federico García Lorca
Spanish Songs
A musical tribute to the poet Federico García Lorca created by the Franco-Spanish composer and pianist Bastian Saez. This show is the setting to music of the youth collection, entitled Canciones. A live performance, a pure and poetic tale in the form of theatrical tableaux. On stage, piano, guitar and string quartet reinvent the universe of Granada evoked by the young Federico. A creation filled with colors, flavors, lights and scents. The orange tree present on stage brings us back to Andalusian perfumes and gardens. The violins of Catherine Fisher and Nina Millet, the viola of Didier Lacombe and the cello of Laurence Lacombe make up a string quartet arranged in the Spanish style, in a cuadro (in a square). On either side of the stage, Arthur De La Taille's guitar and piano complete an ensemble in which Bastian Saez's cinematographic music superbly weaves links between the melody of words, songs and notes. A triad accompanied by the voice-over of Frédéric Kneip, and served by video projections, sheds light on the reading of García Lorca's letters to his family and friends. Added to the bewitchment of the texts are the dancing and singing of Marina Cedro within an Andalusian setting staged by Koba Royer.

Spanish & Latin-American Songs
The Cuarteto Yaraví audaciously and delicately mixes traditional Andean instruments with the more intimate scents of a cello and a clarinet. The classical melodies are imbued with a flamenco “Ay” at the tempo of a “leguero” drum where the accents of a “zamba” from the Argentine highlands resonate. With a warm and intimate voice, establishing a contact of proximity and exchange with the public, the music of Cuarteto Yaraví offers a colorful journey, between emotions and sounds. It evokes a world in which dance melodies that are both light and deep, with torn, nostalgic accents, but always bearers of hope. A soothing atmosphere, furrowed by the beauty of the language and the sweetness of a poetry in which the universal feelings of the human being are expressed.

Ma Voix Et Toi II 2009
Kids Voice Show II
Bordeaux National Opera
After a year spent with the children and a relatively simple choice of orchestration, Calame wanted, for this second experience, to cross a new threshold and build bridges between contemporary music and classical music. This osmosis is illustrated by the participation of a string trio from the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine and the musicians of the group Calame. Of the 9 pieces offered to the public, some songs lend themselves more to the resonance of the strings and others are punctuated by electric and electronic influences. The magic happens when all his musical universes meet to form a single score. Beyond these artistic choices, the place of children is predominant. They form a choir like The Wall of Pink Floyd. Calame's questions remain: "How to sing together? », « How to learn to listen to others: My Voice! And you ? ". These questions find their answers through the obvious complicity between the artists and the young singers. The result : a concert that combines poetic texts, committed to sometimes opposing musical tones but which prove the authenticity of diversity.

Jour De Nuit 2000
Piano Solo
Album
A special personality, highlighted by a transcendent high-fidelity recording technique developed by Peyrole Records, Bastian Saez turns the opaque tube of a kaleidoscope inside which swirl thousands of small colored drawings inspiring in turn the craziest dances and the most delicious rests. With its very characteristic form of expression, its finesse, its drive, its balance and its well-combined dynamism, it works in the spirit and is in line with the quality of recreational music. By producing, Jour De Nuit, our label adds to the phonographic production a quality album dedicated to this tender piano poetry of which Bastian Saez has the secret.

Bastian Saez is going to walk in the footsteps of popular music, that which, timeless, offers the surest melodic refinement. He weaves atmospheres that are most often composed of warm colors and rich Hispanic tones that he expresses, with sensitivity and intelligence, on a magic and sober keyboard at the same time.
